The Office of Professional Learning plays a central role in advancing the district’s mission to inspire and challenge every student to learn and grow to their full potential. Aligned with Newton Public Schools’ vision, strategic goals, and the Portrait of a Learner, we design, coordinate, and support professional learning that strengthens instructional practices and fosters equitable, high-quality education across all schools.

We believe that when educators are engaged in meaningful, collaborative, and sustained professional development, they are better equipped to create inclusive, rigorous, and student-centered classrooms that support the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners.
