Curriculum Review Cycle

The Newton Public Schools Curriculum Review Committee is a representation of district and school leaders and staff who engage in a systematic, ongoing process for evaluating and developing curriculum throughout the district in all grade levels and content areas by participating in the four phases of curriculum development:   

  1.  Self Study:  Assess, Research & Plan (one year)

  2. Design, Redesign and Pilots (one year)

  3. Professional Development & Implementation (one year)

  4. Monitor, Refine & Evaluate (two years)
