The Newton Public Schools, in collaboration with the City of Newton, is conducting significant work this summer to remediate the lead found in the drinking water at Burr Elementary School earlier this spring. Both the main service line to the school and the internal plumbing lines will be replaced. Upon completion, follow up testing will be done to confirm safety of the drinking water.
