Students interested in playing a sport should listen to Oak Hill morning announcements, check the athletics schedule or talk with the appropriate coach to find exact dates for tryouts. Physical Examination RequirementAll students participating in competitive athletics must have an up-to-date physical examination.
Massachusetts General Law (Chapter 71, Section 57) requires students participating in competitive athletics at school to pass a physical examination dated within thirteen months prior to the start of the sport season. The start of the sport season includes any scheduled practices. The physical exam must be performed by a duly licensed physician, physician's assistant or nurse practitioner. According to Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) rules, a student's eligibility will terminate once a physical has reached the 13 month limit. If your child's physical expires during a sports season, an updated physical examination is required for continued participation.
The late Boston bus leaves from the front of Oak Hill Middle School at 4:30 PM. The late Newton bus leaves from the front of Oak Hill Middle School at 4:15 and 5:15PM. If a club or sporting event ends after these times it is the responsibility of the parent to pick up their child.
