Kathleen
PaolilloLiteracy Interventionist
Kathleen grew up in Watertown, MA and received her undergraduate degree from Assumption College, majoring in mathematics and elementary education. Kathleen previously taught in Weymouth, MA for seven years, teaching both kindergarten and second grade. Kathleen earned her Masters degree from Lesley University, specializing in mathematics education. Kathleen started at Bowen in the Fall of 2014. During her free time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her friends and family, taking weekend trips to the Cape, and spending time with her family. Kathleen's goal is to inspire her students to become lifelong learners as well as independent and creative thinkers! -

Susan Pemsler
Literacy Specialist
Susan Pemsler is thrilled to be a member of the learning community at the Bowen School. As an educator Susan has held many positions including Special Educator, Literacy Coach, Reading Interventionist, and now Literacy Specialist. Susan devotes herself to creating learning environments where all kids gain a sense of agency and grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. Susan loves working with other teachers to get ideas for making learning fun! When Susan is not teaching, she spends time with her husband, Warren and cat, Rocko. She has two adult sons: Toby, who is in college in Colorado, and Xan, who is an artist living in Arizona. In her free time Susan enjoys gardening, hiking, and biking. She also loves to READ!!
