Ainsley grew up in Norwood, Massachusetts. She has had the pleasure of being part of the Bowen community since the Fall of 2011. Ainsley went to a small liberal arts college in Illinois where she majored in Sociology and had a minor in dance. In 2011, she graduated with her Masters in Elementary Education from Northeastern University and had the opportunity to complete her student teaching at Bowen in fifth grade. In her free time she enjoys taking the occasional dance class, playing tennis, and baking. Ainsley enjoys getting to know each of her students who keep her laughing and smiling throughout the year.
Courtney Napolitano and Katie Rever
Courtney Napolitano is a third grade teacher and she has been at Bowen since 2007. She started off as a second grade teacher then moved to third grade. Most recently, she has been teaching for several years in the co-taught classroom. Teaching is Courtney’s passion and she knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was a kid. When Mrs. Napolitano is not teaching she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing sports, and cooking. She also loves traveling with her husband and reading for pleasure. Mrs. Napolitano is someone who loves the excitement and challenge of helping children of all age levels discover the power to use their abilities.
Katie Rever is a 3rd grade teacher in the 3rd grade co-taught classroom here at Bowen. This is her sixth year at Bowen and her seventh year teaching. Katie taught in the Boston Public Schools for one year before joining the Bowen community. She is an avid runner and enjoys running races as often as she can. She has run five marathons and hopes to run another one in the coming years. Katie also loves spending time with her husband and her puppy. They especially love returning to their alma mater, Boston College, any chance they can!
Teresa is a New England native, having been born and raised in New Hampshire and attending school in Massachusetts. She received her Bachelors in Communications with a Minor in Psychology from Boston College and her Masters in Teaching with additional Special Education Certification from Northeastern University. Teresa completed her student teaching at Bowen Elementary, as well as work as a long-term substitute and classroom aide. Before becoming a third grade teacher at Bowen, Teresa spent a year teaching third grade at Memorial-Spaulding Elementary, also a Newton Public School. She lives in Cambridge, MA and enjoys reading, attending concerts and competing in triathlons. Nothing makes her happier than seeing her students engaged and excited about their learning.
