Caryn Chapler grew up on Long Island, New York. After attending college at the University of Delaware, she moved up to Boston and pursued her Master's in Education at Wheelock College. She began her career as a special education teacher for Boston Public Schools and then transitioned to Newton where she has been teaching first grade at Bowen since 2006. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading (mostly mystery books), being active and playing tennis, and spending time with her friends and family.
Megan joined the Bowen community in 2016. She graduated with her Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education from Northeastern University and plans to complete an additional licensure in special education. Prior to teaching, Megan was a senior account manager in advertising. Although exciting, she knew something was missing. She wanted to teach. Before Bowen, Megan worked at the Brimmer and May School in the Pre-Kindergarten program and tutored students K-5. Her goal is to expose her students to experiences and materials that will prepare them for a global world and inspire them to be lifelong learners! Megan grew up in Concord, MA and is an avid New England sports fan. She spends her time outside of school with her family and friends and enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and playing tennis.
Suzie Noyes has been at Bowen Elementary School since 2003, and has loved every minute of being part of the awesome Bowen community. She grew up in Framingham and attended Framingham State University where she earned a degree in Psychology. After working with children at a preschool before, during, and after earning her degree, she decided that she wanted to pursue teaching and earned her teaching degree from Framingham State. Most recently, Suzie earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Framingham State University. Since her start at Bowen, Suzie has taught both first and second grade. In her spare time, Suzie enjoys spending time with her family which includes her son, Coda, and daughter, Parker.
