  • The Newton Public Schools is committed to providing opportunities for adult learning that enhances educators' knowledge, skills, and expertise. Through professional learning, educators deepen their content knowledge, learn innovative and research-based instructional strategies, and strive to understand all students' diverse learning needs while holding them to high expectations. Professional learning is an investment in constructive improvements of teaching and learning in the district.


    Professional learning programming is face-to-face, online, and/or blended. It includes the following offerings:

    Newton also has several professional development partnerships that extend and enrich our program, including: EDCO Collaborative, Primary Source, Teachers21 and Research for Better Teaching.
