Updates
A renovation and new addition project at 150 Jackson Road is currently under construction. The project is expected to be complete for the start of school in September 2025. This will be the district’s second all electric building.
The Lincoln-Eliot School project at 150 Jackson Road had been progressing through the feasibility phase when it was put on hold due to the financial impact of COVID-19. This project has now been restarted and is currently anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2025.

Lincoln-Eliot has monthly School Building Committee (SBC) meetings. These meetings are typically held via Zoom on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM. Details on accessing the meetings can be found on the City of Newton calendar .
Lincoln Eliot Building Updates
The auditorium is advancing as well. The floor has been infilled to make the space fully accessible. The crews are framing in the new ductwork which will deliver heat and air conditioning to the space.
The addition is looking sharp with the masonry and windows substantially complete.
The new play structure is substantially complete. We've got to continue to work on the fine grading in this area to make sure everything is perfect, but at this point we're waiting for warmer weather to install the new rubberized fully-accessible play surface.
We'll make sure to clean up the mess before inviting the librarian into their new space, but this picture helps show the size and scale of the space. The library is also the first thing people will see when they enter the building so we spent lots of time on the design details to make it warm, bright, and welcoming.
The stage will get a facelift before we're done. We'll also be installing 450 new chairs, acoustical treatments, finishes, lighting and more in the coming months.
The music room is big, bright, and beautiful. OK, maybe beauty is in the eye of the beholder at this stage. But once this room is complete, this space will be awesome. We all know how important specials are for our students. To the right of this picture are practice rooms.
Speaking of specials, here's the art room. This space will have great natural light and ample storage.
The classrooms are starting to take shape with ceilings going in and built-in cabinets and shelves being installed.
