While at IND Bourg-la-Reine, Newton students arrive with their host to the school at 8 AM, where there is typically some time afforded to their Newton school work. At least one morning is spent shadowing their host student, and another morning is spent visiting English classes at IND. The rest of the day, students spend time on excursions in and about Paris with their Newton group and chaperones. Host families typically plan a variety of activities for our Newton students to experience their daily lives.
In Newton, IND students spend at least a day shadowing their American counterparts, and also participate in daily excursions organized by their chaperones. They spend evenings and weekends with their host families learning about daily life in Newton. Because the trip coincides with a week of school break, host families generally organize outings for their exchange students.
