The Newton Public Schools is pleased to announce its participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program for the 2026–2027 school year for students attending the Education Center, Newton Early Childhood Program (NECP), Lincoln-Eliot, and Underwood.
Through a Massachusetts budget initiative, universally-free meals are extended for the 2025-26 school year - for first meals only.
Massachusetts has confirmed funding at the state level to extend universally-free meals for students for the 25-26 school year.
Although first meals will be universally free again this year, the reimbursement process under the NSLP requires that all meals be counted at the individual student level to be able to process both the federal and state reimbursements.
Please check your child/ren's MySchoolBucks lunch account to confirm if they have a negative balance.
