We in NPS recognize that Black history is a part of our collective American history and should be embedded in our curriculum and practice throughout the year. It is within the study of this history that we become better equipped to wrestle with the challenges and opportunities around contemporary discussions of racism.

Guide for Parents of Asian/Asian American Adolescents
Resources from William James College with resources in different languages on supporting Asian American youth during the pandemic. While the target audience is parents of Asian American students, educators can share these with families, as well as employ strategies in their school settings. It also includes a timeline of anti-Asian American discrimination as well as examples of Asian American acts of resilience

Story Starters uses children’s literature to give families the tools and support to talk about race and racism and to engage in family-centered social justice conversations.

Wee The People
Wee The People is a Boston-based social justice project for children ages 4-12. Launched in 2015 by two Black mothers, WTP organizes free, interactive workshops and events that explore activism, resistance, and social action through the visual and performing arts: music, dance/movement, theater, graphic arts, spoken word, and storytelling.
