    All application materials for the Ghana Exchange, including references, must be completed and submitted by November 1, 2019. To apply, please follow the instructions below:

     

    1) Cover Letter:Carefully read the Ghana Exchange cover letter and instructions.


    2) Student Application: After reading the above cover letter, please fill out the Ghana Exchange Application.
     
    3) Parent Questionnaire: Please ask your parent to fill out this parent questionnaire.

    Culture-focused dormitory/hotel stay. Newton students will live part of the time in school housing at the Tema International School (TIS) and will attend classes at TIS. Newton students will also travel on excursions in Greater Accra and the cultural capital Kumasi along with with their partner student. Planned excursions will include: visits to Greater Accra (W.E.B. DuBois and Kwame Nkrumah museums), Kumasi (the capital city of the Ashanti region), Kakum National Park, and the Cape Coast slave castles.  During the 2020-21 academic year, exchange participants and other volunteers will host Ghanaian students here in Newton for approximately ten days.
