    The application for the trip has moved completely online this year.  If applying online represents a challenge for you, please contact Ms. Talvacchia individually at ruth_talvacchia@newton.k12.ma.us.

    Your completed application is due by Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Your application will not be considered complete until the review committee has received each of the pieces below. 

     

    Step 1: Read the trip information. Please carefully read this cover letter detailing information about the trip.

     

    Step 2: Student Application Please complete the student application here.

     

    Step 3: Parent Approval: Please ask your parents to approve your participation in the trip by completing a parent questionnaire here.

     

    Step 4: Recommendations In order for your application be considered complete, Ms. Talvacchia must also receive recommendations from your counselor, dean, and all of your academic teachers by the deadline of February 27.  Please send these faculty & staff the appropriate links to complete, with enough time for them to recommend you by the deadline.  It is your responsibility to follow up with your teachers, counselors, and dean to ensure that your recommendations arrive in a timely manner.

  • Eligibility

    Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have taken or are taking a Fine and Performing Arts class or have been involved in TheatreInk or other FPA programs are eligible to apply.

  • Cost & Financial Assistance

    The cost of the program is estimated at $2700.  Final costs will depend upon the number of students participating. Financial assistance is available through the Jennifer Price Global Education Leadership Fund.  For questions about financial assistance, please contact samantha_mandel@newton.k12.ma.us.

    Experiential travel program with hotel stays designed to provide theatre students with insight into a well-respected international theatre scene, thereby broadening their perspective on the theatre discipline. Students will explore and participate the theatrical world of London by attending several London shows and participating in several master classes through the UK National Theatre for actors, student directors, stage managers, and student designers. Students will also visit museums with renowned costume collections such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Gallery of English Costume, and the Fashion and Textile Museum, and will visit histroic sites around London to gain a sense of the broader historical context.
