All USB requests MUST be submitted online!
First time users will need to create an account*.
The process is just three 3-steps :
1) Set up an organization
2) Receive approval
3) Enter a facilities request
Existing users will be able to create an account* and then link to their organization.
You will then be directed to the Schedule Wizard for Requesting Facility Use.
Click on the Request Facility Use tab. Continue by following the prompts.

** Any use of building request which requires Lighting and/or Sound Equipment Rental: Associated Rental and Technician Fees Do Apply - All applicants seeking to rent the auditorium, field house, theater or film lecture halls at Newton North and/or Newton South high schools are subject to additional fees. A Lighting and Sound Equipment Tech Rental Form must be completed (see below). Also, please contact either Adam Brown at Newton North or Ryan Spruck at Newton South to schedule an appointment to review the form stating the additional fees for the use of the lighting or sound equipment and review the technician time and fees ($100 per hour/per technician) that are associated with these rentals.
TO CHECK AVAILABILITY, Prior to creating an your request, please contact the Senior Building Custodian at the school where you would like your event. (Exception: Newton North High School, please contact the NNHS office c/o Amy Winston or Casey Friend at 617-559-6200) Please do not call the Facilities Department to check on availability.
To submit your use of building request, continue by following the prompts.

Use of Building (USB) permits will not
be approved for activities that conflict with school schedules, school events, or the Newton Public Schools Committee's Rules and Regulations SC Rules and Regulations
. Newton Public Schools reserves the right to "cancel" a scheduled event/activity due to an unplanned school event, such as a tournament, school based meeting, or play-off game.
Cancellations: No charge if building use is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, a three (3) hour minimum fee may be assessed.
In the case of inclement weather, call the USB Emergency Weather Hotline @ 617-559-9020 to find out if buildings will be open. In the case of a major snowstorm when schools are closed, permitted building use will be cancelled.

The Newton Public Schools Facilities Department makes final decisions on permit categories assigned to users and fees. All fees are subject to change.
