Senior Awards

The English Department confers two major honors on seniors every year: the Gonson Prize, to the senior who wrote the strongest literary analysis of the year; and the Best Senior Synthesis Essay, to the senior who wrote the best essay that relies on multiple sources to express an original argument. The Class of 2018 winners were Ben Timbers (Gonson) and Sophia Swidey and Sam Timbers (Synthesis). Read the three winning essays below:
