Newton North Global Travel Programs

  • The World Language Department offers three to four week exchanges to France, Italy, Mexico or Spain, a 10-day Latin trip to Italy, and a semester-long exchange to China. The FPA department offers a semi-regular exchange to Australia and a theatre trip to London, and the history department offers a summer travel program to Krakow, Prague, and Berlin.  The science department offers an annual ecology program to Nicaragua. Other international programs may be offered depending on the year. The exchange programs are home stays, so students experience daily life with a family from the target culture rather than as a tourist. In the true spirit of an exchange, student participants also host a foreign student for a reciprocal amount of time. For more information on any of these exchanges, please email the respective coordinators or Newton's Global Education Programs Manager Samantha Mandel at samantha_mandel@newton.k12.ma.us.

Scholarships are available for students with demonstrated financial need through the Jennifer Price Global Education Fund (GELF).  For more information, please visit the GELF website here.  For more information, please email samantha_mandel@newton.k12.ma.us.
