Joseph
ChapinMr. Chapin is originally from the South Shore and grew up in the town of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. His journey in teaching started at Saint Michael's College in Vermont. Mr. Chapin fell in love with teaching, traveling and the outdoors. While in Vermont, Mr. Chapin worked for three years as a behavior interventionist. Feeling the need to explore the world, Mr. Chapin became an elementary school English teacher in Daegu, South Korea. Living in Korea allowed Mr. Chapin to learn more about culture and travel throughout Asia! South Korea is also where he met his lovely wife, HyoJin. Upon returning from Korea, Mr. Chapin completed his Masters degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in curriculum from Saint Michael's College. Today, Mr. Chapin and HyoJin live in Watertown and enjoy exploring Boston while trying all kinds of international foods! Mr. Chapin is also a big Boston sports fan! You may see him at Fenway cheering on the Red Sox! Mr. Chapin's focus is on cultivating kindness and preparing students for an increasingly globalized world! He is so excited to teach and learn with his new students, as he returns to his home state to teach!
