Sandi Dickerson grew up in the small resort town of Cape May, New Jersey, where she was very active in her community volunteering to work with the elderly. After graduating from high school, Ms. Dickerson moved to Massachusetts to attend Lesley University. She fell in love with the Boston area and decided to make it her home. Ms. Dickerson is a veteran teacher who has taught grades 7 and 8 in the Boston Public School System, grades 3 and 5 at The Advent School in Boston, and grades 2 and 3 as well as a combination 2/3 grade here at Bowen. Ms. Dickerson enjoys traveling, reading, cooking (her grandparents were professional chefs) and she loves The New York Yankees. She also continues her volunteer work with disadvantaged children and homeless shelters in her community.
