Charter Statement

Research and evaluate existing models for academic computing. Examine ways to distribute, access, and support each model within the resources available to NPS. Recommend how one or several models advance NPS's educational goals.

Scope of Work

Our subcommittee plans to research the following computing models:

  • One-to-One
  • Mobile Learning Models
  • Laptop Carts
  • Palm and/or palmtop devices
  • UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) platform (sort of mini-tablets).
  • Platforms for special needs students (replacing AlphaSmarts with newer technologies like palmtops or laptops)
