School Portal Project Team

Goal:

To develop an online web site designed for teachers to improve teacher-parent-school communication. Committee members who work on this will first research various school systems that have implemented teacher-parent portals successfully. This team will work closely with the NPS Technology Department to insure that the project plan fits the NPS infrastructure.

 

 

Objectives:

* Streamline school communication both internally and externally.    

* Reduce the number of points of contact each teacher has to make in order to get the same information to the same people. (internal communication among staff regarding students)   

* Streamline communications between teachers/staff and parents.  

* Support all 21 schools

* Fit into broader context of district-wide information systems and information flows (e.g., Chancery-Pearson SMS, Moodle, PTOs,)
