Newton’s Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) was formed in November, 2006. The goal of the advisory committee is to provide a vehicle for community input and leverage parent expertise into the development and implementation of an updated Three-Year technology plan for the schools. This year volunteer members of Newton’s TAC are working in project teams.  These teams were chosen based on the Year One detailed action plans of Newton’s Three-Year Technology Plan. (The Three-Year Plan will be presented to the Newton School Committee late January or February 2008.)  The four project teams are investigating:

 

• Use of a course management system
• Design of a school portal
• 1-1 Learning Initiative targeted for middle schools
• Project-Based Learning
