After completion of the survey, we held interactive sessions with students, teachers, administrators and parents. Participants in these sessions were invited to work creatively and collaboratively to brainstorm what they would like to see evident as NPS' key accomplishments and outstanding qualities. The sessions were very informative and gave people a chance to be bold and vivid as they considered their desires for NPS' future.  In addition, the SPT has been reading articles and books (e.g. The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman, A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink), reviewing cutting edge research (e.g. McKinsey Report on Top Performing Schools), and spending time with futurist Frank Catanzaro. The draft mission, core values and future vision statements have emerged from this work. 

We're enthusiastic about these documents yet still view them as works in progress. We are eager to receive feedback and, while unable to respond to each individual, we will read and consider all comments.
