Susan Linn
Susan Linn is the Director of The Newton Partnership (TNP) initiative. Prior to this position, Susan was the Grants Coordinator for the Newton Public Schools, where she was responsible for leading the team that designed the original "Safe Schools/Healthy Students (SS/HS)" project and grant application. Under her leadership, grant funding to the school district increased by more than 70%. Before working in Newton, Susan was the Grant Writer for the City of Fall River, and previously, the Associate Director of Development for Father Joe’s Villages, a comprehensive social service agency with sites across the southwest. Susan holds a Masters Degree in Social Work Administration from San Diego State University, where she was valedictorian of her class, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies from Cornell University.
Amy Comeau
Amy Comeau, M.Ed, is a graduate of Cambridge College, where she earned a degree in Counseling Psychology. She is also a licensed school adjustment counselor. She has worked in both educational and hospital settings, most recently as a clinician at a psychiatric hospital serving clients with dual diagnosis. Her specialty is working with, children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. Amy is currently a Middle School Prevention and Intervention Counselor at Day and Bigelow Middle Schools.
Jenny Gamson
Jenny Gamson, MS, is the Assistant Project Director for TNP, where she works on a variety of projects including community relations, staff development and supports for out-of-school time programs. She attended the University of Michigan, Wheelock College and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration. Prior to joining TNP, Jenny worked as a Program Manager at Work/Family Directions and as Executive Director of the Newton Child Care Commission & Fund.
Nancy Holczer
Nancy Holczer is the TNP Parent Education and Outreach Specialist. Nancy has been a social worker in the Newton Public Schools since 1982. During that time, she has consistently worked with K – 12 students and their parents. Nancy coordinates Newton’s One to One Program, which is now part of TNP. Previously, Nancy was the clinical social worker for Turnaround, a program for at-risk teens at Newton South High School. Nancy holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston University and majored in psychology at the University of Michigan. She and her husband, Geoff, raised two Newton North graduates and are active in the Newton community. Nancy has served as PTO president at Cabot School, PTO vice-president at Bigelow and Newton North, and Treasurer of the PTO Council.
Janet Lucey
Janet Lucey, M Ed., is the After School and Camp Inclusion Specialist for The Newton Partnership. In this role, she offers consultation and technical assistance in a variety of content areas to programs serving students with special needs, in particular those with social, emotional and behavioral issues. Janet has a Masters Degree in Special Education from Framingham State College and a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Adams State College. Janet’s experiences include working as a consultant at Work/Family Directions, Assistant Director of Child Care Resource and Referral at Workplace Connections, and as a preschool teacher and special educator in both public and private school settings. She worked as a licensed family child care provider and served as chairperson of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council for the Silver Lake Regional School District.
Rolanda Prophete
Rolanda Prophete, LICSW, graduated Simmons College with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She has worked as a family therapist, child protective social worker, and more recently as a social worker with the Safe School/Healthy Students Initiative in Boston Public Schools. Rolanda is currently the Prevention and Intervention Counselor at Brown and Oak Hill Middle Schools.
