Interim Superintendent Named

After a careful month-long search process the School Committee hired Dr. V. James Marini as the Interim Superintendent for the 2009-2010 school year.

Dr. Marini graduated from Boston State College, received a Masters in Education from Antioch School of Education and his Doctorate from Boston College. He was principal at Newton North High School from 1990 until 1999 when he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent in Newton. In 2000, he was promoted to Associate Superintendent until 2002 when he left the Newton Public Schools to become the Superintendent of the Winchester Public Schools. Most recently, Dr. Marini served as the Interim Superintendent in North Andover for two years, and has over 30 years of service in the field of education.
