WOODWORKING CLUB

The Woodworking Club information meeting.
is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th.

If you think you might want to participate in Woodworking Club this year, plan to attend the first information and planning meeting on Wednesday, October 5th at 2:45.  There will NOT be a class size limit for this first week of club.   All students who think they may be interested should attend.  A description of the club will be given during this time and we will also have a planning session to design a project.  We will begin working in the Fabrication Lab the second week of Club.

This club is designed for the beginning woodworker as well as the more experienced woodworker.  Basic woodworking techniques, tool selection, tool utilization, fastening procedures, and finishing processes will be taught, with a strong emphasis on safety.  Students are are encouraged to design and build their own projects, however pre-drawn plans are available for simple projects.  Students can use this time to do personnel projects or to work on school related projects.  There is no fee for this club unless a project requires hardware, or similar items, that are not normally stocked.
Space is limited to 12 students, therefore a sign-up sheet will be placed on the door of room 113 every Wednesday morning.  Students wishing to participate, should sign up that day and be present after school. (Students do not have to be present for all sessions)  The club will run for the entire school year ending in early June.
