Travel Brochure Project

As a class you will be making color travel brochures for various Spanish-speaking countries and regions. Your job is to create a brochure that would convince me that your country/region is the best place on Earth.

In your brochure, you need to answer the following questions:

  • Country location (continent, long./lat., bordering countries and bodies of water).
  • Statistics (flag, capital, major cities, temperature, rainfall, geographic features).
  • Getting there (possible routes, airlines, airfare).
  • Where to stay and eat (currency, hotels, restaurants).
  • What to do (museums and landmarks, outdoors, other).
  • What should you pack if you were going there? (provide ideas for different seasons). Make this a bilingual list.
  • Short list of useful Spanish phrases for travelers. Make this a bilingual list.

You will use print materials and recommended web sites. Most or all of the typing will be done at home and saved on disk. You will have two days for library work, and three days in the computer lab for layout work.
