Front Cover: (on construction paper and oak tag).
Title of book (In Spanish). For example: Mi Libro sobre España.
An original drawing (your own work) of something representative of the country (a statue, an important building, a tourist area).
por Your Spanish Name and Last Name. For exampl: por Miguel García
 
Page 1:
(Country Name) está en (Continent or Region).
Color Map of Country (computer graphic) or optionally, a hand drawn map.
 
Page 2 :
La capital de (Country) es (Capital City).
Un lugar importante en (Capital City) es (Name of an Important Place).
Short paragraph (10 &endash; 20 sentences) in English describing the important place mentioned above.
Optional: a photograph or original drawing of the place.
 
Page 3:
Color Picture of the Flag (computer graphic)
La bandera de (Country) tiene los colores (List main colors of flag).
El himno nacional es (Name of national anthem).
Optional: Write the words and/or tune to the national anthem.
 
Page 4:
The weather (in Spanish) for 5 separate days (consecutive or not). Include orignal drawings of weather conditions.
Example:
El Tiempo en (Capital City): lunes el cinco de diciembre: Hace calor y está nublado; martes el seis de diciembre: Hace calor y llueve, et cetera.
 
Page 5:
Short paragraph in English about an interesting place you could visit if you were to travel to the country (different from the place on page 2).
 
Page 6:
A short paragraph in English about an important holiday in the country.
Optional: an original drawing or a photograph of people celebrating that holiday.

 

Due Date: March 30, 2001

Late Reports will lose 10 points for each school day they are late. Students who hand in late work will be asked to come for morning detention each day until the project is handed in.

There will be no grades given below C. Instead, students will be asked to redo the work and hand it in within a determined number of days. (Points deducted for late projects are excluded).
